This is the name of our men’s ministry. If comes from the fact that much of our
time is spent eating at those Saturday
morning breakfasts. But we are interested in more than the food that nourishes
the body, we are eager to receive the Food that feeds the soul.
The men’s ministry is just getting started and we’d love for
more men to join us. We are having a retreat on May 14-15, 2010 at Camp Tel Hai and would
love to have you join us.
Her Time
This is the name given to our women’s ministry. Her time is the time we set
aside to minister to the ladies. We do this through retreats, book studies,
nights out, and various other events. The Bible makes it clear that men and
women are very different and in order to minister to them, we have to be able
to understand them.
Music Ministry
The music ministry is important as it adds to the worship service. People are
praying and singing to the Lord because of the music of ensembles, instruments,
soloist and the church choir. If you are gifted in any of these areas or want
to find if you are, just let the Pastor know and he will direct you to the
right person. We have a group of young children who love to sing, some adults
who have formed a seasonal choir, and some teens who are just now getting their
feet wet! What will be next?
Seasoned Saints
Is there anything for me to do? I’m retired and I’m bored! Well then you will
want to check out the Seasoned Saints. They are a group of 55+ who love the
Lord and love life. They don’t want to just sit around all day, but they want
to be doing things for the Kingdom
of God. Why not travel
with them on a bus trip or attend a game night or be involved with the Church’s
Fall Fest! There is plenty for all of us to do and especially for those who
have a little extra time on their hands!
Grief Share
“It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If
you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or a friend, you’ve probably found
that there are not many people who understand the deep hurts you feel.”
Sound familiar? Grief Share is a national ministry for those who are hurting
and need a listening hear. We have leaders within our church who are qualified
to teach the Grief Share materials. There also are people who have experienced
heartache in their lives. Check us out!
Adult Sunday
School
I’ve never met a person yet who has outgrown Sunday School. Just when you think you
know everything, another question pops up concerning Christianity or the Bible
or just about anything. Sunday
School is for all ages and we welcome you to join us at 9:30 each Sunday morning (that’s
why we call it Sunday
School!)
Children’s Ministries
Awana- See our Youth Page for more info about this exciting ministry. We are
part of the national organization but each local club is separate. It meets on Sunday evenings at
6:30-8:00 from September through May. Clubs include Cubbies (Kindergarten-1st
grade), Sparks
(2nd -3rd grade), and Truth in Training (4th-6th).
Summer Ministries- We offer summer ministry for the children. Some years we
have had VBS and some years we have Summer Backyard Clubs. Each one has been
well received and enjoyed by the children.
Small Groups
The Small Group ministry is a huge part of our ministry to people. We are
always trying to disciple people and encourage people in their faith. This is
one way to do that. Sometimes a person can’t seem to connect to anyone in the
church, but in a small group they are able to find one or two people who have a
listening ear or a gentle spirit. Any one can join a small group, but
they have to be committed to the group. Loyalty runs both ways and is a major
ingredient to make the small groups work.
